Looking for the perfect socially distanced activity to do this season around Lansing? Driving/walking around to look at Christmas Lights is one of our favorite holiday traditions. Bundle up your kiddos, grab some cozy blankets, warm drinks and head out for some festive fun! Here are our top 5 places to see Holiday lights in the Lansing area this season
1. Holiday Nights of Lights at Frances Park:
We are super excited for this new event. It's a drive-through light show that will be available every weekend in December. The best part? It's free!
2. Potter Park Zoo's Wonderland of Lights:
It may look a little different this year but Potter Park still knows how to celebrate the holidays right! The whole zoo is set up to ensure appropriate social distancing and masks are required at all times. You must reserve your tickets in advance as they are limiting the amount of people they allow in. If you have't seen Potter Park lit up for the Holidays I highly suggest it!
3. Visit the tree Downtown:
Bundle the kids up, grab some hot cocoa and check out our magnificent tree at the Capitol. It's really spectacular.
4. Holiday Un-Parade at the Ingham County Fair Grounds:
Floats will be stationary on the midway and you can enjoy the lights from the comfort of your car! This sounds like a perfect socially distant activity to me! Grab some cozy blankets and festive snacks to make it a real treat for the kids.
5. Lake Victoria Lights
This will be our first time checking this out and we can't wait! The Christmas light display for 2020 will have approximately 27,000 lights. Light shows will begin Friday evening the day after Thanksgiving and continue thru the New Year. Tune to 100.1 fm to listen to the show.
