Looking for a place to cut your own Christmas tree in the Lansing area? One of my favorite childhood Christmas memories is the smell of a real tree. It's one of the Holiday traditions that's important to me to continue. My husband disagrees but every year (after a little complaining 😉) we end up at a Christmas tree farm cutting the beauty that will be ours for the month of December. Is it cold? Yes. Do the kids whine? Yes. But do we create awesome memories? Absolutely.
Here are 5 places to cut your own Christmas tree near Lansing:
1. Howard Tree Farm

Open weekends in December Saturdays 9:00-5:00, Sundays 12:00-5:00
* Offers hot cocoa, popcorn, free photos in their decorated barn. They also have a variety of gifts available for sale. COVID precautions are in place. Masks must be worn when indoors.
2. Peacock Road Family Farm

Hours:
Tuesday-Sunday 10 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Closed on Monday.
*Cut your own tree or buy pre-cut. Home of the famous Santa Experience. Yes, Santa is still visiting! Food sales will be offered outside. Peacock Road Family Farm has put lots of wonderful COVID precautions in place to make your trip to their farm safe. Read more about them on their website.

3. Reverman Farms

Tuesday-Thursday: 4-5:30
Friday: 10-5:30

* Cut your own or buy pre-cut. Free horse drawn carriage rides, hot chocolate and candy canes. They have a gift shop with local handmade goods.
4. Star Tree Farm

The selling season begins the day after Thanksgiving (Nov. 27th) and ends a few days before Christmas (Dec. 19th).
Sundays: Closed
Monday – Friday: Open 3PM – 5 PM
Saturday: Open 9 AM – 5PM
* Cut your own or buy pre-cut. They are not offering hot or coffee this year due to COVID. Masks are required while inside the barn. Cash or check only.

* Offers pre-cut or u-cut trees. COVID precautions in place. They ask that you wear masks while inside. Santa will not be coming this year. The are offering a pre-order drive through tree purchase option this year.
